In terms of legislation, the air protection is addressed by:
1.     Act No. 201/2012 Sb., on Air Protection, as amended,
2.     Decree No. 312/2012 Sb.,  defining the requirements for  the quality of fuel used in road and water transport in terms of air protection 
3.     Decree No. 330/2012 Sb., on the method of evaluation and assessment of the level of pollution, scope of public information about the level of pollution and during smog situations
4.     Decree No. 415/2012 Sb., on permissible level of pollution and its determination and  implementation of other provisions of the Air Protection Act of,
5.     Government Decree 351/2012 Sb., on the bio fuel sustainability criteria,
6.     Government Decree No. 56/2013 Sb., defining the rules of classifying road vehicles into emission categories and emission marking.
7.     generally binding ordinance of the Statutory City of  Brno No. 20/2001, issuing the Statute of the city of Brno, as amended,
8.     generally binding ordinance of the Statutory City of  Brno No. 21/2011, determining the conditions for incinerating dry vegetable material in the Statutory City of Brno, as amended by the generally binding ordinance of the Statutory City of  Brno No. 2/2013,
9.     generally binding ordinance of the Statutory City of  Brno No.  28/2006, concerning the mandatory sections of the Regulatory Plan of the Brno urban conservation area, 
10. Energy conception of the Statutory City of Brno,
